White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was long overdue for a Saturday Night Live spoofing, and on tonight’s episode it finally happened. Sookie St. James herself, Melissa McCarthy, made a surprise appearance as the stuttering buffoon, and she was up to the task.
“I’m here to swallow gum and I’m here to take names,” proclaimed Trump’s minister of propaganda before begrudgingly fielding questions from the press. His patience was quickly tested, however, which led him to attack the media with his podium and spray them with a Super Soaker. All the while, CNN’s correspondent was locked in a jail cell.
As outlandish as all this sounds, the scary part is it’s not outside the realm of possibility.
