In Photos: Rolling Loud Hip-Hop Festival 2017

Kendrick Lamar, Future, ASAP Rocky, and more lead an all-time great hip-hop bill

Rolling Loud Hip-Hop Festival almost didn’t happen in 2017. Last month, there was strong suspicion that the festival would be canceled when it was revealed that some of the necessary paperwork and approvals had not been completed. But the festival persevered and went on as planned over the weekend at Miami’s Bayfront Park.

This wasn’t the only hardship the event had to endure. Some of the original acts booked, like Tyler, the Creator and Kevin Gates, couldn’t make the festival for a variety of reasons (like Gates being in jail), but Rolling Loud answered that call as well, finding artists like Gucci Mane and Run the Jewels to fill in spots.

When all was said and done, Rolling Loud put together one of the best rap festival lineups ever, topped with Kendrick Lamar performing only his second festival in support of Damn., while artists like ASAP Rocky, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Future, and Migos filled out a stacked bill. Photographer Cat Miller was on the scene to capture the action. Check out the photos below.
