Eminem made his return on tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live alongside Chance the Rapper, who served as the evening’s host. It marked Marshall Mathers’ seventh appearance on SNL and came in advance of his new album, Revival.
The Detroit rapper skewed the traditional two-song format and opted instead for an extended eight-minute medley performance highlighted by his just-released single, “Walk on Water”. He also performed past favorites “Love the Way You Lie” and “Stan”. As was the case for last weekend’s performance at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards, Eminem was accompanied by Skylar Grey, who filled in for Beyoncé on “Walk on Water” and also sang Rihanna’s part on “Love the Way You Lie”.
