It’s hard to draw a hopping crowd on a Monday, but Chicago’s Schubas had no problem filling the room last night. Credit the lineup first and foremost, a diverse trio of local acts that run the gamut between lo-fi experimentation (Date Stuff), jazz-infused prog-rock (Monobody), and emotionally searing alt-rock (The Kickback). But the evening also had a grander purpose: A collaboration between Chicago brewery Tocayo, artist discovery platform, Audiotree, and Consequence of Sound, the concert served to introduce a series of locally produced performance clips and raise money for Foundations of Music, a non-profit supporting music education. The unveiling of a delicious new coffee porter from Tocayo and Metric didn’t hurt, either. Check out our full gallery of photos below and stay tuned to our forthcoming profiles with the three exceptional artists.
