Earlier today, Taylor Swift confirmed the release of her seventh studio album, Lover. Now, as a follow-up to “ME!”, Swift has broken off a second single in “You Need to Calm Down”. Take a listen below.
The track conveys a pro-LGBTQ message: “You just need to take several seats and then try to restore the peace/ And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate/ ‘Cause shade never made anybody less gay,” Swift sings at one point.
Lover, the follow-up to 2017’s Reputation, is out August 23rd.
