In Prime Video’s upcoming romantic drama My Policeman, Harry Styles gets entangled in a love triangle, and today the streamer has offered a first look with the teaser trailer. Watch the clip below.

Styles plays Tom, a gay policeman who in the 1950s enters into a forbidden relationship with a museum curator named Patrick (David Dawson), but marries Marion, a teacher played by Emma Corrin, due to social conventions.

Although the teaser trailer focuses on the past, My Policeman ratchets up the drama when it flashes forward to the 1990s, when Patrick (Rupert Everett) arrives at the home of Tom (Linus Roache) and Marion (Gina McKee). Though the three are still “reeling with longing and regret,” they now have “one last chance to repair the damage of the past.”

My Policeman is based on Bethan Roberts’ book of the same name. It’s directed by Michael Grandage, with Ron Nyswaner penning the screenplay. Following a limited release in theaters on October 21st, it will premiere on Prime Video on November 4th.

Later this year, Styles will also co-star in Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling opposite Florence Pugh. The former One Directioner is building up quite the acting resume. Last year, he made a mid-credits cameo in Marvel’s Eternals after making his big screen debut in 2017’s Dunkirk.

None of this has taken Styles’ focus away from music, however. Although he’s received some criticism from Mick Jagger, Styles got the last word when his latest full-length, Harry’s House — one of the best albums of 2022 — set a new vinyl sales record while debuting at No. 1.

This summer, Styles is touring the Europe and UK, but will embark on a series of multi-date residencies in cities across North America starting in August. Grab your tickets here.
