Alter Bridge video interview

Alter Bridge have just released their new album, Walk the Sky. Coming 15 years after their debut LP, the new studio effort continues to showcase the band’s proficiency in pairing infectious melodies with powerful riffs.

Heavy Consequence recently caught up with Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti and lead singer Myles Kennedy to discuss the album, including the the first single “Wouldn’t You Rather”, as well as the explosive track “Native Son” and the Tremonti-sung “Forever Falling”.

With Kennedy also a member of Slash’s band, we also asked him how Guns N’ Roses’ impending return to the studio for a new album would affect his timeline with Alter Bridge. The singer also offered his own thoughts on the highly-anticipated GN’R album, from a fan’s perspective.

Alter Bridge wrap up their current co-headlining tour with Skillet with a two-night stand October 24th and 25th at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida. After that, they’ll hit Europe for a late fall run that begins November 12th in Frederiksberg, Denmark.

Watch our interview with Mark Tremonti and Myles Kennedy in the video above. Alter Bridge’s new album, Walk the Sky, is available now.
