In this exclusive Q&A, Rock it Out! Blog host Sami Jarroush heads to the Millennium Dance Academy in Chicago to chat with members of the breakdancing group Flying Steps. The troupe recently performed at the Chicago Theater in a show called Flying Bach, which combined breakdancing and hip-hop with the music of composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
The group discusses how they came up with the idea of breakdancing to classical music, how much preparation goes into dancing to Bach’s music, and where you can see them in person.
