Masterpiece Reviews: “Daft Punk’s Discovery”

Daft Punk Discovery

Welcome to the latest edition of Masterpiece Reviews. Once again, we’ve thrown on our favorite velvet robe, turned up the fire, and are here to regale you with stories of the greatest and most classic albums of all time. It’s a fresh, new perspective on why these albums are filed under “M” for masterpiece.

Following the release of their debut album Homework, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, aka Daft Punk, set out to revolutionize the world of dance music (once again) by paying homage to the music they grew up on. With a new focus on the rock and disco of their childhood, Daft Punk embarked on a two-year process that resulted in their 2001 masterpiece, Discovery. Join host Nick Freed as he takes a closer look at this timeless album.
