Pop singer-songwriter MØ joined Consequence at Mad Cool Festival 2022 for an interview about the return of summer festival season, her evolving writing style, and connecting with the crowd.
“There’s been a drought,” she says of the joy of returning to the stage coming out of the hiatus period of the pandemic. “There’s something about coming out and meeting your audience again in different countries — especially a festival, because it’s like vacation for everyone.”
Following her busy summer schedule, she’ll be releasing new music, and then spending the fall returning to writing. She reveals that she used to put pressure on herself to write a certain way, approaching it with a rigid work-like mindset, and now allows the process to be much more organic.
