Music made specifically for cats? Yes, it’s a thing.
Ini this exclusive Q&A, Rock it Out! Blog host Sami Jarroush chats with Charles Snowdon, a professor of psychology and zoology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Snowdon, along with his colleague, composer David Teie, created a series of songs dubbed Music For Cats which are sounds that should stimulate your cat to react to them. Snowdon discusses the origin of this scientific study and how it was first tried on monkeys, what sounds are incorporated in the music to get the best reaction from cats, and which animal he would like to try this study on next.
