Must There Be A Superman? – An Original Documentary

Is the Man of Steel still relevant in 2016?

For almost 80 years, Superman has stood as a beacon of hope, truth, and justice in a continually complex world. He’s one of the most iconic characters in American fiction, a symbol of truth and justice in an unjust world. He’s faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive. But is Superman past his prime? In a new documentary from Consequence of Sound and RIO!B Productions, Sami Jarroush examines the first (and his favorite) superhero and whether or not he’s truly relevant in the modern landscape.

Featuring interviews with titans of the comic industry like artist Neal Adams and writer Mark Waid, as well as Randall Lotowycz (author of DC Comics Superheroes and Villains Fandex), Glen Weldon (author of Superman: The Unauthorized Biography/The Caped Crusade), Dr. B.J. Oropeza (The Gospel According To Superheroes), Cap Blackard (The Nerdy Show), and CoS’ own Ben Kaye.
