Last night, Nine Inch Nails bombarded the world with a holy trinity of news more powerful than five simultaneous G.O.O.D Fridays. First, they announced their eighth, fucking great studio album, Hesitation Marks (9/3 via Columbia Records), then hit us almost immediately with their long-awaited new single, “Came Back Haunted”, and, as the piece de resistance, unveiled a North American arena tour. Whew.
On today’s Rock it Out! Blog, Sami is giving you the chance to play armchair music critic by asking what you think of the new NIN single. Is it everything you expected? Or, did it leave you with a sour taste in your mouth? Does its it indeed hearken back to older Nine Inch Nails material, or are they going somewhere else completely? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
Also on today’s episode, Sami recaps more headlines, including Modest Mouse’s new album plans, Queens of the Stone Age’s Live on Letterman webcast, and where to see the new post-apocalyptic music video from Sigur Ros.
