Are you someone that looks for new bands each day? Do you find yourself using the phrase I knew them before they were big in conversations? Well, then this shows for you. Welcome to #AreaCode, a brand new series on the Rock it Out! Blog that focuses on up and coming bands and artists from around the country.
On this installment of #AreaCode, we head across the pond for the very first time and visit with the band Shields from Newcastle, England. In addition to a performance of their song “Mezzanine”, the band discuss the Newcastle music scene and how its more of a community instead of a competition. They also spoke about meaning behind their circular symbol, what they would have been if they didn’t get into music, and what’s the best part about being in a band.
