Today’s episode of Rock it Out! Blog features a new edition of #AreaCode, an original series that focuses on up and coming bands and artists from around the country. Are you someone hungry for new ear candy? Do you find yourself muttering, “I knew them before they were big,” to nauseating effect in conversations? Well, this episode is for you.
This time around, we head out west to San Francisco, CA a.k.a. area code #415 to spend some time with the three-piece rock band, The Trophy Fire. In addition to a stripped down performance of their song “Comrades”, the band tells us how the Bay Area has impacted their sound and lyrics. They also make a case for why the city should be considered a cultural hub right alongside New York and Los Angeles.
