Welcome, rocker nation, to a brand new episode of Rock it Out! Blog. Every Friday, host Sami Jarroush rounds together an esteemed panel of critics, musicians, and comedians to discuss the week’s biggest headlines.

This week’s pannel features Consequence of Sound staff writer Randall Colburn, freelance writer Ben Cannon, and comedian Sam Gordon. Among the topics discussed, Madonna’s recent antics at Coachella and whether or not she’s trying to hard to remain relevant in today’s musical landscape. They also talk about the return of Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and whether blockbuster movies like Avengers: Age of Ultron are showing too much to the public prior to their release.

We also speak to Dave Crain, owner of Chicago’s Dave’s Records, about which records you should be excited for most on Record Store Day, and CoS contributing editor Phil Cosores gives us his rundown of the first weekend of Coachella.
