With the release of songs “Came Back Haunted” and “Copy Of A”, the new Nine Inch Nails album, Hesitation Marks, looked to be a return to form for our dark industrial lord Trent Reznor. But then a third single, “Everything”, was released and, if you listened hard enough, you could hear the pre-conceived notions of the album shatter all across the land. This poppy, upbeat, guitar driven song is unlike the usual fare we expect from the Academy Award winning composer. So much so that a parody music video was created and features an animated Reznor on the back of a unicorn in front of a rainbow.
