While many attend their local record stores on Record Store Day to purchase rare and limited vinyl for their personal collection, others use the opportunity to turn a profit. Such is the case for the person who bought Boards Of Canada’s surprise release, which marked the beginning of wild promotional campaign behind their new album. The owner of that vinyl has put it up for sale on eBay and, as of this writing, it’s currently going for over $4,000! On today’s Rock it Out! Blog, Sami wants to know if you approve of such practices. Are you someone who buys albums on Record Store Day solely for personal use or do you see no issue in flipping those records to make some extra cash? Let us know in the comment section.

Other headlines covered on today’s episode include the new song from MGMT, the soundtrack for this season of True Blood, and the lineup for this year’s Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit.
