There’s already been a lot written about Kanye West’s new album, Yeezus, but today’s Rock it Out! Blog episode would like to add a bit more tinder to the already raging fire surrounding this record. Sami wants to know if you think Ye’s newest release should be considered, in some respects, a punk album. The album tends to tackle many punk-friendly themes, including racism, anti-media, anti-corporation, and being an underdog. Plus, it’s Kanye’s most aggressive album as well as his angriest one. Some have even compared tracks off of Yeezus to bands like Death Grips. So what do you think? Could Kanye have actually released a punk album? Leave your comments down below.
