In an interview posted earlier this month, the Navy Seal who reportedly shot and killed Osama Bin Laden claimed that Metallica’s music was frequently used to torture prisons, however, those tactics stopped at the request of the band. Metallica has denied they ever made such a request, writing on their website, “There has been a lot of talk recently about us asking the military not to use our music to ‘soften people up before interrogation,'” Metallica wrote on the group’s website. ”We NEVER commented to the military either way on this matter. Any statements that have been made otherwise are not correct.”
Regardless of what’s true, the fact of the matter remains: Metallica’s music was used as torture. In light of this, Rock it Out! Blog wants to know what music you consider a torture to listen to. What band, if played over and over again at an insanely high volume, would cause you to crack and give up information? Let us know in the comment section.
