Theres more to a music venue than what you see on stage, which is why the Rock it Out! Blog takes you behind the scenes of the best independent music venues from around the country in a new video series called RiO!Backstage.
On this episode, we head to Grand Rapids, MI to give you an in-depth look at The Pyramid Scheme. Opened by Jeff and Tami Vandenburg, it’s touted as “a place for the artists, musicians, and localists of Grand Rapids,” in addition to attracting national touring acts from all genres on a weekly basis.
Visitors will find a wide selection of craft beers (ahem, Grand Rapids was recently named “Beer City, USA”) and over 20 pinball machines to test out. So whether you’re looking for a show, that special microbrew, or a chance to break the top score on Metallica pinball, The Pyramid Scheme should be your immediate destination.
Make sure to follow Rock it Out! Blog on Twitter and Facebook, and subscribe to its YouTube channel. And leave us a comment letting us know what venues we should visit next!
