Welcome, rocker nation, to a brand new episode of Rock it Out! Blog. Every Friday, host Sami Jarroush rounds together an esteemed panel of critics, musicians, and comedians to discuss the week’s biggest headlines.
This week’s panel is made up of Consequence of Sound Managing Editor Adam Kivel, Associate Editor Sasha Geffen, and Senior Editor for Thrillist.com Sean Cooley. They kick off the show by offering up a brief analysis of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the pros and cons they have with the comedian’s new program.
Also, they discuss Bruno Mars possibly headlining this year’s Super Bowl halftime show once again, and a new hotline from Speedy Ortiz that concert attendees can text if they’re feeling uncomfortable or having their personal space invaded during the show.
We also head to Chicago’s Kuma’s Corner for a look at their September Burger of the Month, and bring you a sneak peek at next week’s interview with Simon Tam of The Slants.
