Since debuting in 2019, TOMMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT for short) have quickly made a name for themselves as one of K-pop’s most exciting rising acts.
The quintet – consisting of Soobin, Yeounjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HeuningKai – was named Rookies of the Year at both the Melon Music Awards and the Asia Artist Awards in 2019. In 2020, TXT went fully international, making their Japanese debut with the single “Magic Hour” and becoming the first K-pop group to shoot for Teen Vogue. Now well into their third year, TXT recently released their second full-length album, The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE, on May 31st. The album peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and includes the single “Magic,” their first song sung entirely in English.
Consequence connected with the boys virtually from 6,000 miles away to discuss the new album, singing in English, musical collaborations, and much more. They also take a moment to perform on-the-spot acapella covers of Ariana Grande, Bebe Rexha, One Direction, and BTS, all while generally radiating positivity. Check out the exclusive interview above.
